Arranging Upgrades or Repairs
For both upgrades and repairs it is very important that you first contact us by
email or telephone for the reasons detailed below:
In the case of software upgrades or a change to a compatible combination of our
wide range of Special Versions we can then discuss the best solution for you.
Upgrade and special version prices including UK shipping costs are shown on the
Special Versions page. Overseas customers will be
charged the actual postage cost and we are happy to give you a fully inclusive
quote for your actual requirement. We can at this stage also discuss the option
of self fitting. If you wish to investigate this further we suggest you consult
our Manuals page where you will find a PDF document,
UPGRADE.PDF, also available Here detailing
what is involved.
If however you are one of the unfortunate few who have found a problem and feel
it is due to a fault in your ACE then it is vital we discuss this before you
return the unit. First because most apparent faults are due to operator error
and can be solved without a return! (This may be simply because the unit has
not been used for some time and a normally unused button has been set wrongly).
Secondly it is vital to check before return because once the unit leaves your
premises we lose any possibility of doing further diagnostic work to find out
exactly what is wrong. There is nothing more frustrating to both us and you to
find no fault when we test the unit and then have to charge you for testing and
the return postage when nothing has been found! Please also note the limitations
on repairs mentioned below.
Quotation and Shipping Charges
Please note that although we hold some spares we are not able to repair all faults
so it is important that you contact us before despatch.
Please also note it is our normal policy to charge 10 UK pounds sterling for testing
an ACE or for a repair estimate. However if the ACE is found to need repair and
if the repair work is carried out by us at that time then no charge will be made
for the testing and quotation and we will only charge you for the repair work done.
In all cases we will charge return postage by a secure insured service. In the
UK this means Royal Mail Special Delivery. Overseas shipping will be by Royal Mail
Registered Post.
Postal Address for Upgrades or Repairs
All postal correspondence or returns for factory fitted upgrades or for repair
should now be to our full NEW postal address as below and NOT the PO Box address which
has been discontinued, or our old address as we have moved:

Payment for Upgrades or Repairs
We currently accept payment by bank transfer or other irrevocable method of payment.
Within the UK we also accept Bank or Building Society Cheques. UK VAT will not be
charged as we are no longer VAT registered.
Replacement Power Supplies
We do have a small number of original power supplies available for those who would
like to replace any faulty ones with the same one we supplied recently but you can
also buy your own. Whatever you use it is very important that it meets our power
supply specification in order to ensure continued safe operation of your ACE.
